#202 | LinkedIn Profile Audit: Live

LinkedIn is a lot like a busy coffee shop; you never know who you’ll meet or what little gem you’ll learn. This week, instead of bringing in an outside guest, we put you in the hot seat for some live LinkedIn profile audits! If you’re polishing up your LinkedIn for a new job, more clients, or just a refreshed look, you’re in the right place. It was so much fun seeing everyone putting their names forward and sharing tips in real time.

Let’s talk about three upgrades you can steal for your own profile:

1. Make your banner work for you
LinkedIn is rolling out a new profile banner feature, rotating banners, which gives you the option to add more than one photo. Some folks love the movement, some find it distracting, but use that space to share what you do and who you can help. Skip restating your name or photo, it’s already on your profile! Instead, add a slogan or fun visual that catches the right eyes.

2. Show off your acoomplishments not your companies
Listing your job isn’t enough these days. In your “experience” section, add bullet points with numbers, wins, and specific results. Did you boost sales by 25% in two years? Reduced complaints? Led a killer project? Say so! Don’t be shy, people want to know what you can do for them.

3. Give people an easy way to contact you
Not everyone loves LinkedIn messages. Add your email or booking link in your about section so hiring managers or prospects can get in touch quickly. If you’ve got LinkedIn Premium, there’s even a Calendly integration for instant appointment scheduling in the custom button area!
