#149 | Mini-Workshop: Tips For Job Searching

Job hunting in a virtual world can feel like screaming into the void. Having to compete with AI while trying to put your best foot forward does require you to get creative in today’s job market. In this episode I shared what I believe is most important in today’s world.

First up, Resume’s! Simple fonts, keywords and 1 inch margin on the sides are essential so that the machine can find your resume and put it to the top of the list! Second, connect with the “real humans” whenever possible! This is why I am such a fan of utilizing LinkedIn and posting your own unique content. This will bring the right job to you. (make sure when they google you, they’re seeing your best self!). Not to mention leveraging the network that you already have there!

My controversial take on job searching: You should be telling everyone! I share an experience I had where I was talking with my mom about a dream client I would love to work with, as a retired school teacher in Florida I had no idea that just saying out loud that I wanted to work with this team would lead to a connection!
