Some weeks just don’t go as planned—and that’s exactly what happened on our latest Coffee With Kim. I was all set to chat with Erin Shrimpton about emotional resilience, but life had other plans. So instead, we turned our meetup into a ‘copy my homework’ session, swapping the latest apps, reads, and habits, making life a little easier (and a lot more fun).
Here are a few things our cozy crew loved and learned this week:
1. My New Favorite App
I was a late adopter, but I can’t stop raving about Whisper Flow. It’s a dictation app that blows away the usual voice-to-text on your phone. It catches your words (and even your hard to spell name!) so much more accurately. If you’re constantly battling auto-correct or want to send emails lightning fast, give it a spin. (And yes, it works on desktop and mobile!)
2. Don’t Let Emails Fall Through the Cracks
Superhuman (an app I’ve been loyal to for years) levels up email by not just giving your inbox a glow-up but also smart reminders. If someone doesn’t reply, it drafts a follow-up for you—ready to send or edit. It even figures out the best time to reach your contacts so your message gets seen, not lost.
3. Make Space for Something New
We talked about those little pockets of time for adventure—reading a book each month or seeking out one cultural experience that pushes you out of your usual routine. Try a museum, hike, author talk, or even chalk drawing at City Hall! Jot these into a workspace like Notion or pair up with a friend to keep each other accountable.
