We’re back with another cozy coffee meeting, and this time, we’re diving into the world of LinkedIn profiles. Picture this: You’re in a bustling café surrounded by fellow bright minds, excitedly sharing secrets over steaming cups. That’s the vibe this session had, only virtual! Friends sharing what they like and what could be improved on other friends profiles.
We explored the latest LinkedIn features that you might’ve missed if you’ve been busy juggling life! First up, did you know LinkedIn is using your data to train AI models? Now, if you’re thinking, “No thanks!” you can turn it off in your privacy preferences! LinkedIn has also implemented sponsored posts, meaning it’s no longer just business accounts that can advertise. You may have noticed them on your feed, creators you don’t follow with posts sponsored by companies. If you haven’t heard my soapbox about posting please listen, LinkedIn is slowly becoming a “pay to play” space like other social media platform.
We also spoke about the new slideshow banners for premium users. Using up to five slides, you can showcase various aspects of your work or brand. Just beware of how quickly they change—it’s like watching digital billboards zoom by!
Then of course we dove into 4 profiles together live and gave feedback in real time. We went over how to enhance your profile with bullet points and numbers. Whether you’re increasing event attendance or saving clients big bucks don’t miss out on highlighting your strengths. Trust us, when someone skims through your profile, bullet points are tried and true. We also talked about how far back to go with your work experience and what’s considered the magic number when it comes to connections. Visit getcoffeewithkim.com to join us live next time for a chance to get your profile on the agenda!
