With the holiday season and inflation at an all time high knowing how to negotiate to save money might just be the trick we need to make it through the rest of the year. After reading Veronica’s Wall Street Journal article on the topic I couldn’t help but reach out and see if she’d join the Coffee With Kim crew.
Veronica shared the story that led her to choose finance as a career. After watching her mom struggle with finances when her dad passed, it’s why she’s so passionate about women really understanding and taking part in their finances. She shared a few ways she’s talking with her young son about money and how she plans to instill the concept from a young age.
Deciding what your money boundaries are and where you can cut back doesn’t have to be complicated. Veronica suggests starting with subscriptions and even calling companies to ask for discounts or promotions. She also suggests keeping an eye on the amount of money you’re spending on food. Eating out is getting increasingly more expensive and you may not have noticed how much your paycheck is taking a hit because of it. We dove into the importance of an emergency savings account and the steps she would take to tackle debt. If you’re in a tight place right now know you’re not alone and take some time to listen to this conversation while you pull out those reports you’ve been ignoring for far too long. You’ve got this! We’re cheering for you!
