LinkedIn and Google are intertwined more than any other social platform. Which is why having your LinkedIn profile spic and span is key for showing up well online. Whether you realize it or not people are googling you and when they do LinkedIn is usually within the first three search results. That’s why updating and improving your LinkedIn profile at least once a year is key for making a good first impression.
In this workshop we talked through some key features that you should implement on your profile, including Creator Mode, the underutilized banner and the new “open to” section that will attract the right clients and opportunities your way. I shared what I’ve noticed about the LinkedIn algorithm (and other social platforms!) that seems to be a bit of a “hack” when it comes to showing up on your followers notifications and how implementing new features helps in a big way!
We talked through what makes a good about section and how to craft something that is easy for humans and robots to read. We might not want to admit it but digital first impressions are becoming more important that physical first impressions so let’s make sure yours is a good one!
