Content marketing is shifting. AI is producing content at alarming rates. But is more really better? How do we leverage thoughtfully? Martin Waxman, the Associate Director of Future Of Marketing Institute, joined us to dive into the nitty gritty of using AI in marketing. The Coffee With Kim crew hit him with some pretty important questions and we loved to speculate on where AI may take us in the future. Martin is first to admit that we have no idea where this technology will take us and that we still have a LOT to learn. He shared TONS of resource’s for us that I’ve linked below.
One of my first question’s to Martin was “How do we pick good AI tools?” his answer was simple “What do you hate doing?” He shared that he still loves writing his newsletter so outsourcing that to AI doesn’t make much sense but using it to explore title options might be. I shared my sneaky trick for using ChatGPT to help me come up with a birthday gift and planning my latest trip.
Getting your team onboard for new technology can be a struggle sometimes. (aren’t we all so tired of creating more usernames and passwords?!) Martin suggested having open conversations with your team and not being afraid to ask where they think AI could help them be more efficient but also have more fun at work. Oftentimes those first drafts can easily be done by AI and having a human come in and fact check and edit is a great use of time and energy. It’s a wild new world out there and I’m just glad I have the Coffee With Kim crew to help navigate.
