Ever notice how the younger generation is using AI tools like ChatGPT for way more than just Googling “how to unclog your sink?”. I recently challenged myself to use ChatGPT as a personal life coach for a week (inspired by a clip from Sam Altman at OpenAI), and honestly? Weirdly helpful. It told me what to order at restaurants, reminded me to eat more iron — basically, it had my back in the most unexpected ways. Sure, chatting with a bot about your meals sounds a little “out there,” but let’s be real: growth lives in experiment mode.
Whether it’s AI or the latest social app, don’t just stick to what you think you “should” do. Try stuff. Ask ChatGPT (or Claude, or whatever tool you like) for life advice, job tips, even vacation ideas. Young people are doing exactly that — turning curiosity into an edge. And that curiosity? It’s keeping them current. A recent report showed that younger users are connecting, networking, and championing causes they care about through social media — not just scrolling for fun. So hey, maybe it’s time to pitch that charity idea you’ve been sitting on. Someone might be looking for exactly that.
I’ve started tracking little things — like books I read and new experiences I have — in a simple Notion doc. It helps me see if I’m actually living the life I say I want to live, and it’s a fun way to look back on what’s resonated with me. So, what will you experiment with this week? Maybe your own “life coach” AI challenge? Let me know how it goes. Same coffee, same chat — see you next week.
