Owning a business requires you to wear a LOT of hats. In the early days it’s usually something like CEO, accountant, content creator and on top of that you still have to do the actual job! When I first started my company at age 25 I was nervous to ask questions. It felt like everyone “got it” and I was too inexperienced. I didn’t realize until much later on that most business owners are constantly learning and even googling on the daily.
This week I created a space for questions to be asked and how fun it was to dive into this with you, the Coffee With Kim crew! The first question was about this show and how it got started. With 143 of these under our belt I think back on our big celebration of episode 99 and I’m so grateful that this virtual community has continued to grow. What started as a way to stay connected virtually has grown into a network of really smart and awesome people all over the globe.
My spicy view on raising capital vs bootstrapping came up and how each company is different! We talked about unlearning mindsets that are creating roadblocks and dealing with the inevitable bad customer. Mentorship is a hot subject for me, I’ve even written an article on it, but the idea that our mentors change as our business does is a little taboo. If you missed this episode you can still join us in the comments or better yet come next week live to tap into the Coffee With Kim network!
